April 24, 200323 yr comment_365 When i remove the cover from my alarm panel it tampers and turning the key to reset silences it, and acts like an engineers mode. If i remove the cover from the bellbox while in this 'engineers mode' will the bell ring, or does it have to recieve a trigger from the control panel. It is a SAB type, when u remove the hold and 12v supply it goes off, using internal batteries. Not particulary enjoying climbing ladders, I would prefer not to be suddenly standing next a 110 dB siren while its active. The bellbox is quite old and there is a chance that its rusted shut, would a crowbar be easier!? April 24, 200323 yr comment_366 There`s every chance that as soon as you remove the lid the bells will sound, as usually the hold off is passed through a tamper spring or switch that is closed when the lid is pressed against it, or the retaining screw is unscrewed. ........................................................
