Guest only1reef
Help!! Have adopted said panel and reset the nvm chip but having the following issues as there is an external keyswitch to set / unset I have programmed the door contact as E/E and parameters 38 and 39 as lockset (opt 2) turn keyswitch and system will not set I have tried several combinations but to no avail as the system will not set without the door contact triggering alarm (C1) or an exit fault (EF) none of the configurations make sense. HELP!!! Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/10219-scantronic-9800/ Share on other sites

HELP!!! Will the system set OK if you use a code? Is the door programed as FE (Final Exit)or ER (Entry Route) there is no E/E as such? Guest only1reef
Have tried 38 1 and 39 1 but wasnt sure to have door contact as F/E or E/R pretty sure I tried that though but what surprised me that even when I set Z1 as entry zone, when it was opened alarm activated Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/10219-scantronic-9800/#findComment-95345 Share on other sites

breff
Why not wire the keyswitch into a zone rather than keypad, program keyswitch to FE and door contact to ER, set opt 38 to 0 and opt 39 to 1. The system will set when the lock is closed and entry will start when it is opened. If the door is opened without activating the lock it will cause an instant alarm. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! breff
Very good point but when i put system into walk test and activate switch doesnt recognise it as a zone because it is currently wired into the keypad. Paul P
I keep having a nagging feeling that there was an issue with 9800 and key switches, something about only using them for making the system go from full to part set. Has anyone else heard this or was it one of the bad dreams and I am making myself look silly, it was 10 years + since I installed 9800 Trade Member Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/10219-scantronic-9800/#findComment-95458 Share on other sites
