Gardtec panels

 Hi all

I,m looking for a bit of advice on the gardtec 800 panels (LCD) and the 300 or 500 range of panels.

I used to work for a company that used them when I first started in alarms,

(not seen one in nearly 4 years now)

Is the 800 the one that can be expanded to 16 zones (using FSL)?

Is there any real differance between the 300 and the 500 range of panels, Can either take an LCD keypad or are they both LED only.

Last but not least any idea what price i can expect to pay for any of these panels.(and where can I get them)

The reason I'm asking is I want to move away from using ADE and TEXACOM stuff as the reliability of both groups is not that good. I,m also looking at starting up on my own in the near future. So any other advice will be welcome.

Many thanks all

Adrian

1) Yes the GT800 is expandable to 16 zones EOL

2) The 350 is only 5 zones and the 350+ and 370 are 7 zones but PSU`s are only rated at 800mA.

Nothing prior to the 590 will accept LCD Keypads.

3) Price ????? Dunno really.

And the best place to get them is Gardner Technology, but obviousely youll need to set up an account.

:) Hi Dave

I think its the same thing, Scantronic and Menvier call the use of resisterers FSL (Fully Supervised Loop)

2k2 for tamper

4k7 for alarm

What value are used in the 800 range?

I have a 690id panel in my house. I've installed hundreds of these panels as these are the main panel we use.

We also use the 900 & the 2500 (1040 zones) panels.

Never used the 790 (never even seen one) what type of panel is that one? IE-- Wards, ID ect....

You must have seen one: the one below is the 690, couldnt find a 790 picture. But they look the same anyways.

In its standard form it uses Wards and has 8 onboard zones + 2 more on the keypad.

It is expandable, but cant recall to what extent.
