Acess Control

Featured Replies

Ive had an enquiry from a Local Off Licence:cheers: re Installing an access control to the shop door The door is opened about 150 -200 times a day so the unit will have to be robust and reliable and they have been robbed three times this last month

Anyone know a good manufacturer or model either an electro lock or Mag lock

I`m assuming they have an Aluminium door frame, so For the Electronic lock i`d probably specify an ADAMSRITE 7100 Series Electric Strike.. We use them in Police Stations as its what they Specify, the only draw back is they cost about £100 each. They are fairly strong latches with a dynamic strenth of 70 foot pound force, static strenth of 1500 lbs (so shoulder barge proof). :)

On the other hand Maglocks are good and longer lasting, but lack the strenth of the above latch.

For the actual cell block we have to ship in a solid brass job from the USA but they cost £450 each so are probably overkill for what you require.
