none of the ones listed....
OK, I put Gent (pre-Honeywell) mainly because of the 34770 optical heat sounder

some bloke banged a holesaw though the lid & added a keyswitch
does the key say 901 or 827 on it ?
Didn't get given the key, and the battery was removed so it's pretty much just a display item on my shelf

? 4603 would be early 90's radio tat ??
It was removed from a static caravan and Google doesn't come up with any info about them so I wonder if they were a custom made system or if Scantronic only produced a limited number of them

Recently I was given a wireless Scantronic 4603 keyswitch burglar alarm panel for free

Alright, I'll tell you the real reason, I had my own furry forum and I approved a member who I regret approving, as they only joined to take advantage of me, which is easy to do thanks to being on the autism spectrum, they discovered what furries actually are (people who like anthropomorphic animals obviously) and was obviously anti furry, I regret that decision and I will never forgive myself for it

I'll still occasionally post here, just not very often, reason why, I'd rather not talk about it

I guess this is my goodbye for the time being, thanks for being a great community

When I do rip out my 1980s burglar alarm panel, I'll probably replace the PCB with a matching one from eBay that is code defaulted

Do the trade for some years as an employee before going alone
Don't define what you do in your name,
Does Fox-Wolf sound better than Foxy-Wolf?
Fox-Wolf Group
Fox-Wolf Associates
In year to come your income from alarm or cctv could well drop off & could make more £ being a roofer or carpe cleaner or whatever..
The name is a placeholder name BTW

I intend on going into business in the near future FYI

Ah a question...
Yes I'd say most old ADE stuff I see is tired and has either no or very low charging rate.
Every battery replacement should come with checking the charging rate and off mains change over, it's pointless and wasteful throwing a new battery in for it to drain out.
Makes sense, we don't really use it unless we've had a power cut otherwise it rings for 20 minutes on the external sounder and the panel sounder
-
Does anyone know if the Optima XM6 panels were known for the battery circuit going kaput, we have one, battery dead, even if we changed the battery, the battery circuit is kaput so a new battery won't keep the panel powered during a power cut, panel works by the way.
Sounds stupid I know, but it is a genuine question, as our one is the only one AFAIK that has the battery circuit issue

I do know way back in the 90s Ambassador Alarms was owned by East Midlands Electricity never knew about Weat Midlands
Nice, I am quite a bit of an alarm expert myself, and I am planning on ripping out my old Optima XM6 panel in the near future, it works, but the battery is dead and the battery circuit is kaput so a new battery will no longer keep the panel active during a power cut

A poll of your favourite old burglar alarm panels

Just a heads up, I am not going to be very active here, I'll be more active on my YouTube channel

It spins freely by hand

I should probably start thinking about setting up the business in the near future
