  1. In that case I would like to have my account here deleted as I am clearly not welcome here anymore
  2. Recently got given a Friedland DC solenoid bell
  3. Well that and because Honeywell era Gent is just meh
  4. OK, I put Gent (pre-Honeywell) mainly because of the 34770 optical heat sounder
  5. Favourite fire alarm brand? I have voted
  6. Didn't get given the key, and the battery was removed so it's pretty much just a display item on my shelf
  7. Oh cool, so its a custom made system, I will definitely keep it as it is extremely rare
  8. Also on the back it has a Cooper Security sticker
  9. It was removed from a static caravan and Google doesn't come up with any info about them so I wonder if they were a custom made system or if Scantronic only produced a limited number of them
  10. Recently I was given a wireless Scantronic 4603 keyswitch burglar alarm panel for free
  11. Alright, I'll tell you the real reason, I had my own furry forum and I approved a member who I regret approving, as they only joined to take advantage of me, which is easy to do thanks to being on the autism spectrum, they discovered what furries actually are (people who like anthropomorphic animals obviously) and was obviously anti furry, I regret that decision and I will never forgive myself for it
  12. I'll still occasionally post here, just not very often, reason why, I'd rather not talk about it
  13. I guess this is my goodbye for the time being, thanks for being a great community
  14. When I do rip out my 1980s burglar alarm panel, I'll probably replace the PCB with a matching one from eBay that is code defaulted
  15. Makes sense, we don't really use it unless we've had a power cut otherwise it rings for 20 minutes on the external sounder and the panel sounder
  16. Does anyone know if the Optima XM6 panels were known for the battery circuit going kaput, we have one, battery dead, even if we changed the battery, the battery circuit is kaput so a new battery won't keep the panel powered during a power cut, panel works by the way. Sounds stupid I know, but it is a genuine question, as our one is the only one AFAIK that has the battery circuit issue
  17. Nice, I am quite a bit of an alarm expert myself, and I am planning on ripping out my old Optima XM6 panel in the near future, it works, but the battery is dead and the battery circuit is kaput so a new battery will no longer keep the panel active during a power cut
  18. A poll of your favourite old burglar alarm panels
  19. Just a heads up, I am not going to be very active here, I'll be more active on my YouTube channel
