  1. Thanks, for what it's worth, they look similar to this, but without a light. Just a screwhole in the centre and a keyhole (we don't have any keys).
  2. Fortunately, they got in touch this afternoon and are getting "their man" around tomorrow. Got notes, times etc in emails. After further investigation, there are two panic buttons, one in the hallway near the door and one in a bedroom, but they have been painted over (what looks like several times) when the place has been 'refreshed' over the years. Probably fitted years ago by a old owner. We haven't touched them, and since someone is coming tomorrow we aren't going to start touching them now! ? Just puzzling to me why it would only happen in the dark at night, Cold temperature? Spiders?
  3. Sadly you were right, and it went off four times overnight ? For some reason it doesn't seem to go off in the day?? Having to get an engineer to come and sort it, one way or another, as I can't be living on edge at night. The internal alarm fitted is the most horrendous sound to be woken to!
  4. Firstly, thanks for any help/advice. I am in a rented house (in the UK) where the intruder alarm was said to be out of use, and so we haven't touched it. The panel on the wall is a Scantronic 9751. This morning at 2.45am, 5.30am and 5.45am the alarm sounded internally and externally. It was not set by us. I believe the system has some panic alarms attached which may be faulty. The wall panel now displays PANIC RESET REQUIRED PA202 What I want to know, is, in this current state is the panic alarm function disabled? (And therefore won't go off again). That's all I need to know. I have of course tried to contact the landlord, but they aren't very fast at dealing with issues. I just need to know whether in its current state it won't go off again as it was a big shock to us when it went off and would have made a massive nuisance for the neighbours! Thanks again Steve
