  1. I am sorry to bother you guys again , I am trying to connect the WiFi and it is just failing and can not connect to the app. It has registered the Device, it confirm it has registered the WiFi and server, it scans the QR Code and after that it does not connect to the app and and the WiFI does not seem to connect or open the app, keep getting message WiFi speed slow, or WiFi to far, so I dismantle the door Hikvision video door bell ring and placed it next to the router and still get the same message. Before it was connected front door of the house and it had the same issue. Any ideas what could be wrong. Appreciate if you can advice. I get the solid blue light, but don’t seem to connect the WiFi or open the hik connect app.I have been meaning to get rid of my wife, but hard to get rid off her Lol. I will see if I can sell the 4Nvr and buy 8Nvr. which cat5e cable to use , is there outdoor and indoor cable , as my cabling will going the under the suspension floor and then outside up the bay window, as I don’t want to run around all over the house with cable and lifting carpet, otherwise mrs will go crazy for moving carpet , furniture and beds. there is standard. Cat5e , but the sheathing is not strong and it will be too flexible and some of my cable will be exposed outside.

I purchased this from Ebay new, but no return. She said 2 camera at the front of the property and 2 camera at the back of the property. I will have to for time being buy a Micro SDHC or SDXC Micro card 128Gb or 64Gb card. This will store the footage and you can playback on the Hik Connect app or on your mobile.
  3. I just wanted to Know, as I have purchased the 4x DS-2CD2132F-I 4mm PoE Cameras and 1 x DS-7640NI-E1/4P/A NVR 2TB can the Video Door bell be recorded on the NVR or do I have to sacrifice one camera port, even though it is on Wifi. In order for the DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi video bell to record I have to keep a separate port spare on my NVR, or does it not record on IP address is straight to your NVR or hardrive ? I was told you can record through your IP address or it needs to be OVNIF compatible , But this is to HIKVISION NVR, so you don’t need to have to have the ONVIF. I don't want to lose a port, as I will need 4 camera active. I rather then have the Micro SDHC or SDXC Micro card 128Gb or 64Gb Sorry for asking in depth question.
  4. Dear All, Sorry for the late reply and the problem I had, was the transformer power was not strong enough, as I wanted to use the 8V 1amp transformer to see if it works,as I purchased 2nd hand. What happened was the red light was flashing on the video Door bell and the chime was ringing it self every minute, so I was messing around what could be the problem. What is was the Bell chime was taking all the power, so this is why the video door bell would not connect at the first attempt to the Wifi. So I dismantle door bell, took the existing transformer out and took it in the room next to the Vodafone router and I could not get it going and again messed around for few hours. I went out and came back late at 12 midnight and started to mess around and hey Presto it scanned the QR code and it registered the phone and I downloaded the HIK CONNECT app. I Reset it by holding the button on the left facing towards me, which reset to factory setting, this was done few time at the 1st install and then 2nd attempt In the room. In the room it connect to Wifi and registered the Door bell, but it would not registered when fitted outside due to not enough power from Transformer. But it registered in the room, as the transformer was ONLY supplying the power to the Door bell and NOT Chime. Device firmware is up to date. Firmware up to date Device version :V1.4.62 build 180515 It was about 2 month old confirmed by the seller. It is working fine and it takes time to load up and you need a good wifi. This is only down side of it and by the time you answer the parcel guy might be already gone, so this is what you guys said al long, but I am happy with it so far, as I paid around £50.00. The good thing about it is it has the motion detection, so you get alerts and picture, so I know who has been like postman, my wife and Kids, so I can see what time they go in and out, so no more lies from the children coming home late, while I am in bed Lol at Weekends. You can see from the images I have attached it works fine, so I kept it in the room all day Sunday and it worked, so I fitted it now and dismantle the wires from the Byron Ding Dome chime and the Hikvision door bell works fine and I get motion detection. if I connect the Byron Ding Dome chime , then the Hikvision video door bell not work, as the Chime will take all the power, due to using the existing transformer. I spoke to Hikvison technical and they told me the Video door bell will operate at 9 Volt, so even if I get 12 Volt it will do the both chime and Video doorbell. But I rather get the 3 voltage, so in future if there is a problem, I have the 16Volt and 24 Volt. I am just waiting from the below supplier for the stock for Transformer size 0V-12V-16V-24V , it is out of stock, the reason I am going for this it has 3 different option of voltage, but only has the 8Va https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROTEK-Bell-Transformer-Din-Rail-Mounted-8V-16V-24V-For-Nest-Ring-Door-Bell/183576530737?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 When I do the conversion for 8Va to Amps it give me 0.33333Amp 8VA- 240Volts - calculate 0.33333333 and some other website saying 8Va is about 8 watts, My video Door bell needed 0.6Amp or 12 Watts. Enter phase #: Single phaseThree phase Enter volt-amps: VA Enter line to line volts: V Result in amps: A

  6. Thanks James Learning new thing everyday. I will check if I can find a suitable transformer.
  7. Oh right , as Hikvision said this model , which I purchased can be connected to your existing door chime, so this is why I was under the impression I can use one transformer for my existing chime and also WiFi video door bell to connect on my phone. if I keep 2 door bell, then there is this possibility the visitor or parcel guy might not use the one of the door bell, so this is the reason I wanted to keep only 1 door bell, which is the WiFi Video Door bell. Is this typing error 10A or should it be 1A 8Volt. i will see if there is a transformer 24V ac to 8V and will there be Amp rating on this transformer?
  8. Hi Alyeti, Thank you for your reply. I am only using the existing Ding Dong chime, which was currently on the 8-12Volt Tranformer 1 amp. however I am now replacing the Door bell push ring to Video Door bell, which this New Video Door bell needs 24Volt and the Amp of the this new Video Door bell is 0.6Amp. I am only having 1 chime only, but due to New Video Door bell I have to replace the transformer to 24 Volt and I was not sure to which Amp to get transformer 1.5Amp or 2.0Amp or 3.0Amp on a 24 Volt Transformer, as it say 24 Volt on the Hikvision Video Door Bell. Chime on it own only needs 8-12 Volt and 1Amp transformer.
  9. Thanks James, Sorry never noticed, must be aged thing. What size transformer I will require, I know Hikvison said 24Volt and we have now found out the Amp is 0.6Aamp and I also want to connect to Ding Dong Chime and when I phoned Byron Technical, they said they usually state 8Volt 1Amp. Technical said if you used 24volt it will just burn the chime or it may keep buzzing. I need to use 24Volt to work or do I need a transformer , where it regulates Amp by it self. Byron told me as soon as you press the Door bell ring button, this is when the power will be applied. So this is why I was asking you guys which transformer I need to buy, as the guy who I bought it from he used 18volts transformer, but I don't he had his Ding Dong chime connected. So I need to buy the correct Amp rating or if I buy higher it may burn the circuit. Thanks Again.
  10. Hi James, Did you leave a blank message, as I could not see a message on your last post.
  11. Hi Sorry to bother you again Guys, I have purchased the below from Ebay for £44.00, as he was moving house and he used it on 18Volt transformer. On the installation it is saying 24Volt, but I am not sure the Amp, as I will be operating the Video Door Bell and the Ding Dong Chime. How many Amps do I need for the Transformer is it 1amp or 2 amp, as I will need 24Volt. I will need to know the cable length, as I will need minimum of 2 metres, as my 240V socket is just behind the front Door. Power supply 16 VAC to 24 VAC Power Frequency 50hz to 60 hz. Power Consumtion 0.6A Power Consumtion 12W Your help will be Appreciated. https://www.hikvision.com/europe/Products/Video-Intercom/Wi-Fi-Door-Bell/DS-KB6003-WIP https://www.dynamic-cctv.com/media/attachment/file/d/s/ds-kb6003-wip-spec.pdf https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AC-DC-Mains-Power-Adaptor-Supply-Charger-PSU-800MA-1-0-AMP-24-Volt-Regulated-24v/332336065759?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AC-DC-5V-12V-24V-1A-2A-3A-4A-5A-8A-Power-Supply-Adapter-Transformer-Charger-Plug/401560496857?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUMVISION-UNIVERSAL-POWER-SUPPLY-UNIT-15-VOLTS-24-VOLTS/113671698896?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Plug-DC-24V-1A-AC-Adapter-Charger-Power-Supply-for-LED-Strip-Light/202577851272?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
  12. Thanks Peter. Which Cheapo brand did you buy from Ebay, I can have a look at it and see if this is suitable for me. Comelit Kit VIP, I don’t want to spend That much and plus , I don’t want the gate or door to be opened, as I only need to see who rang and whose outside, so I can open the door myself or attend to the Door.
  13. Hi Guys, Thank you for your replies and feedback. Especially RING the way the advertised , is like it works without any issues or break in interference of WiFi, must be a way of thier marketing skills. Sixwheeledbeast is saying neither, so you are saying they will be waste of time,as no guarantee I will get a call on my mobile due to issues with WiFi dropout and so on. The reason I was thinking of Hikvision , as they have been doing the cctv and lot of trade use them , so they must be good decent quality and plus side of you can add Micro Sd card, so you don’t have to pay iCloud to subscribe. Plus I can then connect it to my existing Chime, if I want to or keep me old door bell, as back up to ring inside the house Only and this new video door bell as well. Peter James mentioned it records on droids, is this Android or records somewhere else ? I can always try RING out and buy it from Argos and see how it goes, but Hikvision only certain people sells it, so it limited where you can buy , not like RING, where you can buy it from almost all retailers. Test the RING door bell out and if I do experience delays or Drop out, then it will be certain it will not work for me, but to do this trial it will not give me true identity of the product, as it has to be ideally tested for 12 months in All weather conditions, daylight, nighttime and the usage depending on how many people pressing the Button and size of the family. Alyeti mentioned Relay bit missing on the RING ,what is this ? Can this be fitted as additional by the installer or this has to be done by the manufacturer. so I need also look at an option if the video bell has the option ONVIF, so this will communicate with the NVR. I thinks the Model KB8112-IM made by Hikvision is Poe. James Wilson say I work for Hikvision, NO I don’t work for Hikvision, my profession was Plumbing and heating in 1988 , but now had to retired early due Arthiritis , Knees and ankle are very sore when working and kneeling on floors and body use to ache making me feel like and old man and I am only 48 and happened quite early. I had to change job and now have to work in the office. The reason I asked you guys , as you will know and can give me your honest opinion and my Mrs wants it ,so when we are on Holiday and can answer the Ring or can check on the app playback. I note the Video Door bell will work, but not as it should ,as there is still teething problem for WiFi and may be delays in getting the call on the mobile phone.
  14. Hi Guys I would like to Purchase Video Door Bell, which will ring the Chime, it needs to record , It need to have speaker, so can have 2 way conversation, Motion Detection and Waterproof, as it will be fitted outside my Front door frame. There are 5 models I have found, so I want to which is the latest model and I need to buy, so I can see on my phone and also in future I will buy CCTV System and may be connect to NVR, but this is NOT important. Please can you advice what is the Difference so Pros and Cons below 5 models. I know the DS-KB6403-WIP is 12 volt and will not Operate chime. I know the DS-KB6003-WIP is 24volt and will Operate chime. The DS-KB8112-IM is vandal proof and water proof, but this looks to bulky for residential area. Ring Video Door bell 2 you have to subscribe to iCloud and you have to pay monthly or yearly subscription and the Hikvision you can use the TF SD Micro memory card. I think the Hikvison will be better option in long run due to No subscription. I thought I asked you guys or if you know any other good brand similar to Hikvision or RIng. https://eu.ring.com/products/video-doorbell-2 https://www.hikvision.com/en/Products/Video-Intercom/Vandal-Resistant-Door-Bell/DS-KB8112-IM https://www.hikvision.com/en/Products/Video-Intercom/Wi-Fi-Door-Bell/DS-KB6403-WIP https://us.hikvision.com/en/blog/hikvision-launches-new-video-doorbell-camera https://www.hikvision.com/europe/Products/Video-Intercom/Wi-Fi-Door-Bell/DS-KB6003-WIP https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hikvision-DB-120A-IW-Wireless-Remote-Video-Doorbell-Camera-Intercom/312323233117?epid=26010631142&hash=item48b7ea555d:g:RCcAAOSw9~Rb71mx:rk:3:pf:0
  15. Who is Mr Barnes ? Is he the Agent for Hikvison in UK ?
  16. I have not purchased the Hikvison, as now Hikvision are getting strict in china and will not supply the English version to overseas customer, you need to buy it from UK, this person is still working on it to see if she can get the english version Hikvision, otherwise she said there is always the DVR version. i will keep you updated. i will check the link you sent me the cctv calculator.
  17. Hi Alyeti, I have asked the supplier the question about the storage/ Hard drive to record and if the internet is down, does the camera still recorded to NVR or to the Hard drive. so Before i buy just want to make it clear , so get the most suitable product. What is the storage on the NVR ? for example on the DVR it has option from 1TB to 6TB. How would the storage work out on the IP system, does it store on the NVR or is there some storage space on the IP camera, LIKE SD Card ? If the Internet is down, does the IP camera works and records on the NVR recording box. All camera will be Day and Night vision and have IR Built in? Will it have Audio, where you could here sound from the camera ? Is this Fixed lens or varifocal focus lens 2.8- 12mm .
  18. I might get 8 way or 16way and does this NVR has hard drive to save your cctv recording or it saves on the server.
  19. so the below 11 is the network port for connecting Network Connections for cameras and the 1 is for Network connection for internet, as below i need to buy NVR. Network connection for internet PTZ Connector Mains Power Connector On/ Off Switch USB Connector Ground Connector HDMI Connector VGA Connector Audio In Audio Out Network Connections for cameras
  20. Thanks Al yeti. What about below 2 points Does it use lot of internet data, if so then i would have to go with the Analogue, as i was reading the Analogue cctv camera will be slowly phasing out. so i need to decide which one to go for IP or Analogue Hikvison TURBO HD CAMERA TVI XVR. How would the storage work out on the IP system, does it store on the NVR or is there some storage space on the IP camera ?
  21. Hi Guys, What do you guys recommend shall i go for the Analogue system or the IP system and IP system i will just go with the 2MP camera, as the camera are quite pricey. Does it use lot of internet data, if so then i would have to go with the Analogue, as i was reading the Analogue cctv camera will be slowly phasing out. so i need to decide which one to go for IP or Analogue Hikvison TURBO HD CAMERA TVI XVR. How would the storage work out on the IP system, does it store on the NVR or is there some storage space on the IP camera ? Analogue you can have 1TB to 6TB.
  22. TURBO is the Analogue made by HIKVISION and it has the HIKVISION LOGO.
  23. Hi Guys, I have got the Price and the spec of the equipment of the Hikvision and i am not sure she has given me another price on TURBO HD CAMERA TVI XVR, if this is another brand. What do you think guys for the price and the equipment spec for a Budget install ? 英国 客户海康英文 180420 HIKVISION.xls
  24. I will ask the supplier for the varifocal lenses , so i can set it how i want it. I want the Dome camera, as the bullet camera looks to commercial, as this is going on a residential property.
