I'm no business man as you know,but the way your going can only end up one of two ways,a-you're non urn 999 thing comes off and you don't have to change a thing,but that leaves the door open for anyone and everyone to set up a back bedroom operation,b-it doesn't come off and you're left with x amount of customers who can't now get police response which they expect

And if it does all go tits, he wont be left with any customers.

Each employee is having to do suffient productive output to pay their own way.

best form of advertising in my opinion is word of mouth cost nothing and is probably the best advertising you will get when i first started i put a 5 camera system in my best friends garage free of charge for him with all the customers he had onto the forcourt and in the shop and garage area i have had 4 big cctv installs from people asking him about it i am not saying go and offer someone free cctv just a pointing out that word of mouth and people seeing systems working is a big plus thats my opinion anyway but i am sure there will be some of the miserable lot on her shortly to say otherwise plus i hope everything works out in your new venture

the manuals link okay, now I know you have had a good look at the site. anything else, I will remove it in a minute.
you need to add owner details as well as address, be it sole trader trading as or ltd.
companies act 2006.
whilst it may appear to not have many teeth, non compliance is a criminal offence.
non compliance cost one company upwards of £75k in just 3 weeks last year.

lol there are things that need to be done granted, address for one and the number for another (due to be changed end of the month), other than that please enlighten me as I can change some things relatively quickly. It doesnt use cookies so dont need a cookie policy.
I rather you be honest, I was going to say brutally honest but that may not be a wise move. As I can imagine you can be very brutal if you want to be.

lol wouldn't say new or wet behind the ears, just spent so much time in an office and it aint the same installing day in day out as doing favours for family and friends.
Not to mention how much weight gain I got for years in the office but thats another thing altogether.
So yes I have been out swapping family and friends systems over to start my advertising ready for te grand old launch in about a months time.

lol nothing to share, nothing went wrong ish at all, just realised I wasnt as well equiped as I need to be.
Its early days and you live and learn and get better prepared.
Up and down ladders twenty times as I cant carry everything I need up there, no where to store it when i am up there. Wrong size screws, way too big for what was needed.
Forgotten how dam heavy cordless drills/ drivers are with 4Ah batteries, made short work through that brick though, and screwing and unscrewing and rescrewing with the right screws.
Need to make sure I have the right screws for the right job and get them arranged all pretty like in the vans shelving.

I hate it when you tell someone no and they refuse to take that on board!
Happened today so had to spell it out in no uncertain terms, all I wanted to do was put some money in the bank but they wanted to sell me some product or other, and they just persistently tried to get me to agree to taking a banking product out with them, rather than process the transaction I was there for.
It took way too too long to get it through to the numbskull, had to threaten to make my business elsewhere just to get things moving, after telling them no three times already, I don't want anything from you, bang out of order.
Welcome to sales.
You might want to reflect back on your comment in a month or three when you've reached the point of despair by being knocked back by all your prospective new customers who won't be beating a path to your door.

I got really angry with the local golf club trying it on yet again this year, with the 'one of our members has recommended you' line for the 3rd year running. I cut across and said, 'Are you selling advertising', his reply, 'Oh no sir, its more about being a partner at the club'. "Tell Mr Google to stop recommending me please, bye.".
I find the "why don't you just f**k off! has the best effect.

Absolutely. In fact if we are talking about installation standards on the whole I think SSAIB firms will do dramatically better installs as they tend to be owner managed businesses and the owner tends to be good at the physical product but lacks the other side. Golds are generically better businesses but the install quality not so hot.
Not sure % wise many golds go bang compared to number of them approved

Unless you major on intruder, there is no benefit, indeed it is a pointless cost, being a member of an inspectorate.
Still, people start up companies - and fair play to them - chasing the dream and then sign up for a badge. How many of the companies that go tits were doomed to failure right from the off, irrespective of badge?

The SSAIB changed all that forever. NSIs view was that the company had I have substance, resource etc etc however SSAIB took the view as long as stan and his van could fit a system ok then the rest of the things didn't matter hence why we are where we are today.
So Golds didn't and don't go tits then?
They don't carry out sharp practices?
They don't countenance shoddy work?
