  1. Council Trusted Trader Mark/Tick are good award to have lads.

But a WHICH Trusted Trader now that is interesting and it is official they are!!!

We are checked to the BS7858 which looks at EVERYTHING from Your last 5 years employment, last 10 years of addresses and credit checks which is more than your Enhanced Disclosure or PVG to whatever it called.

I can't see anything wrong as they seem to please Trading Standards and everyone.

You might want to consider the errors in that web page and how they show the accreditations/recommendations to be somewhat hollow.

You may also want to swat up on the vetting and your claims.

  2. okay brave tart,

rather than a debate on legal tender / legal currency

all I'm saying spend your £1's before you end up debased with salmond cent's :P

Could do worse than spend them on sorting out the roads in Edinburgh.

Cobbles would give a smoother ride. **** hole.

  3. Based on your comments here, I'm not surprised they haven't paid you.

And for someone who claims to know, you appear to know very little.

Enjoy your day, raging against the world.

  4. sorry i dont follow, i'm trying to find out if i'm wasting my time, i'm not a legal person, im an engineer, im not lying. so why wouldnt gathering any info i can help, maybe you could give me some of your advise cubit, you seem to be clued up. or anyone for that matter. maybe also i may actually help others from getting sucked into there trap. google them and him, posting public ha, least of my problems .

now i remember why i stopped using the site in the 1st place.

For a start, we only have your sidfe of the story.

Secondly, you have no idea who reads the boards.

So, have a look back at your OP and ask yourself what it suggests.

Based on your brief comments on this thread alone it suggests, well, i'm sure you can work it out.

  5. Everyone above is correct. They will either drop the power to the mags and or keypads/readers to allow the use of exit routes which may be blocked by mag doors or to speed up people leaving a mag door area where lots of people are leaving.

Back in my school days, all fire exits were protected by keyswitches and mags (to prevent kids bailing off) and mags were deactivated during alarm conditions by XP95 IO units.

As far as I know, they don't actually switch the raw 230v supply going to the PSU, just activate a relay inside the PSU which powers down the mags as the units are only capable of switching up to 30V @ 1A.

I'd rather hope they were just switching the feed to the mag locks from the controller door relay. Anything else is very bad form.
  6. generic info.

avoid 1 way systems, most of the cheapee systems use 1 way, yale, visonic, risco etc.

look at 2 way for a small system. Use a hybrid Panel and locate it in a central location.

or are you looking at hard wired?

    Risco?

    Bit naughty of you there.

A touch of prejudice showing if I may say.

  7. Ifsec have called the office 4 times to ask if we are going, ...Erm  No thanks, We wont be going now its in London... Daft idea

That smacks of desperation on their part.

    Not to mention aggressive marketing

  8. Got a question today which I can't really answer. Customer of ours rents out offices and new tenants are in therefore we need to change the name on the URN.

Customer asks, why does it cost £65 to change a name?

What do you tell your end users as I must confess, can't come up with a valid answer myself.

I thought you'd be well versed in explaining away high charges for trivial work?

  9. that's where the ra and company supplied ppe comes in

    Indeed.

with regards to the troosers though. Some/many companies have a tendency to to provide cheap nasty stuff. Personally, whilst i believe everyone on the tools should wear proper workwear trousers (as opposed to say, jeans), i do like to wear the decent stuff.

  10. **** ra

If they want paying, get the job done. If the want to **** about put them on the dole.

Wouldn't someone with a brain not wear loose clothing around a lathe?

You'd think so, but these things happen.

The rules on gloves can be a nightmare as an example.

Got to wear them , but which ones for which job, take them off for certain tasks - then yellow carded if the ftard manager doesn't know the issues and catches you.
