Positive Technologies researchers find vulnerabilities in Intel's Management Engine

Question

I feel this is going to be one of those critical issues that a huge amount of hardware will never see the fix.

For those running Intel hardware make sure you keep an eye out for your motherboard manufacturers BIOS update if they release one.

Bear in mind this vulnerability is under OS level.

  • Intel Xeon Processor Scalable family
  • Intel Xeon Processor W family
  • Intel Atom C3000 processor family
  • Apollo Lake Intel Atom Processor E3900 series
  • Apollo Lake Intel Pentium
  • Celeron N and J series processors
