I know that the samsung 1/3" with manual IR cut filter is the best in the 1/3" CCD range, but anything equivilent in the 1/2" range. If this is the case, what is an equivilant or better replacement? Doktor Jon Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 Stevey, I'm just curious but are you looking at a 1/2" camera because you are using a 1/2" format lens? If you didn't need the slight increase in wide angle coverage, you could instead consider a very decent 1/3" format camera, with an increased magnification available at the maximum telephoto setting, and probably save a few pennies in the process.
