March 3, 200620 yr comment_89240 If you want to use a 'C' mount lens on a 'CS' mount camera, you just need to screw a 5mm spacer ring onto the camera before you fit the lens (before anyone states the obvious, yes I know you can screw it on the lens instead!). The other thing is that it's the focal length of the lens which will affect the cameras 'Field of View', so for example, if you have a 1/3" format camera; if you fit either an 8mm 1/3" lens(CS mount), or an 8mm 2/3" lens (C Mount with adaptor ring), they will both produce exactly (ish) the same degree of coverage, but the 2/3" optic will produce a much better quality of image. March 13, 200620 yr comment_90504 So a 1/2" C mount lens will work with a 1/3" CS mount CCD, how! Who said anything about a 1/2" c mount? Any how you just need to fit a 5mm spacer. I went up into the attic...I found a Stradavarius & a Picasso. Unfortunately..... Stradavarius couldn't paint, and Picasso made a shocking fiddle.
