Guest jono
Is there an easy way to do this? Last week I noticed two of my sensor lights (dining room and bedroom) were permanently on. I shut off the power at the mains and this worked...they now come on when they detect movement and then go out a few seconds later. But now when I try to set my alarm (all it says on the control box is cpf2) I get the usual beeping but it doesn't stop. The sensors detect you but the alarm doesn't go off, the box just continues to beep. There doesn't seem to be any way of resetting the alarm. Could it be faulty? Many thanks Jono :'( Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9141-resetting-my-alarm/ Share on other sites

Many thanks Jono :'( The cpf2 is a very old panel, when you switched off the mains you probably totally removed power from the system which resulted in a curruption of the panel's programming. At best you need an engineer, (probably one with grey hair who will know the panel!), but you would probably be much better off with arranging for the panel to be replaced with a modern unit. Guest jono
Thanks for your replies. Sounds like a new panel may be the sensible thing then. What's a new one likely to cost? Thanks again... Guest
What's a new one likely to cost? Depends who fits it and where you are. Best bet would be ask for some prices from some local companies.
