Guest tom
My cleaning lady accidentally triggered the panic button when dusting. I entered my code and successfully reset the alarm to the inactive state, but about 2 hours later the alarm triggered spontaneously. Is there a time delay after a panic button activation, and if so how do I reset it? My user guide does not mention a panic button. The panic button does not have a reset key and is a simple press button switch that goes to open circuit on press. I checked it with an ohmeter and it seems to be OK. morph
Does your button have a slot for a key? Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/8944-optima-2-plus/#findComment-83044 Share on other sites
Guest tom
there is no orifice to insert a key into the housing. I removed the housing and measured the resistance of the switch: normal 0.002 ohm: pressed: open cct. morph
Are you sure it was the same zone? How often do you use the system? Has it ever been serviced?
