November 11, 200520 yr comment_75120 Hello, I recently moved into a house with the ADE Optima Compact Security Panel. The system was on but was unset, the landlord not knowing the code (how useful!). The alarm is on a separate fuse from the main fusebox, shared with the fire detectors. We had to turn the fuse off for a time so we could have the electric fire detectors replaced. Now, as soon as we turn the fuse back on, the alarm sounds. It appears as though the backup battery ran out during this time, as the power light is off until the fuse is turned on. The codes 0123 and 9999 do not unset the alarm. Is this a fault that can be corrected DIY style, or does the NVM need resetting by an engineer? I am located in North Birmingham. Many thanks in advance for and help you can give. November 11, 200520 yr comment_75121 You will need an engineer along to have a look at the system and have it serviced. The panel need to be taken back to default and programmed back with new codes etc. It sounds like a battery replacement depending on how long aso the last service was I would get it checked over by a professional in your area. !
