I'm a first for wiring up REED SWICTHES. Can anybody help me wire up a reed switch as I tried to connect it to my speakers but damaged the switch. PHEW ! only cost £1.99. Any ideas or pdfs to simply wire it up. them magnetic ones. .

I was doing a trial and error test to find out how it activated. I got it to work by linking the security loop to the output of the amplifier and linked to the speaker. Keeping the positive untouched. This worked but I needed to be able to reverse it so when the magnet was detached it would activate and when it was attached it would deactivate. So, basicly I got into a fiddly dilema. I know how I damaged it by putting too many amps thru it by turning up the volume. cand connecting up wires at random ) .
