External siren wiring

Featured Replies

I am installing a new Optima G3 control panel and intend using a Chubb Delta 5 external siren but am not sure of the connections on the latter.

My control panel terminals are

T -ve tamper return

A -ve supply (0V)

D +ve supply (12V)

B -ve sound trigger

The ten terminals on the sounder are

10 str-

9 str+

8 tamp

7 tamp

6 int batt-

5 int batt+

4 siren

3 0V

2 +

1 siren h/off

Any help with connecting this up would be much appreciated.

Yow will find that its a gardtec delta and the connections are.

T Tamp R

A Tamp F And Bell hold

D Siren +

B siren -

STRB - STR -

STRB + - D

There should be a internal battery to connect to INT BATT + & -. Ignore the other

terminals.

Many thanks Dave for the information. Does it matter which way round the T & A connections go as they are just labelled Tamp on the sounder?

They shold be labeled Tamp F and Tamp r. If not it shouldnt matter.
