We have recently moved into a new house with a Nexus 8 alarm panel. I have downloaded the user & engineer manuals of the web as the former owners had lost them. I have read (on the internet) this model has a silent part set option as to not disturb children when night setting. However the manuals are about as clear as mud!

Can anyone give me a laymans guide how to do this?

You may already know but this panel is made by Lynteck. Don't use it myself so I,m afraid I can't help. Lynteck do have a technical support line but it's a nasty premium rate number - 0906 711 2329.

Silent set may be within the "setting mode" option of your manual. As most will tell you on here if in doubt best to call a pro, especially if you've just moved into the premises.

If you have the Engineers Guide the info is on page 21.

Menu option 15 (for part set 1) or 16 (for part set 2.

Enter the volume required from 00 to 09 (none to loud).
