June 12, 200520 yr comment_56744 How do they work? I know a little bit about them, but if anyone could elaborate a bit for me that'd be great. Thanks. June 12, 200520 yr comment_56746 Each detector has an ID buscuit in it, and each contact has one too. Each ID buscuit has a number 1-30 and is identified by the panel continually scanning the ID loop for the ID buscuits number. The ID buscuit can be Off line- (TAMPER) or active or normal. Thats as much info I can give you in public. They don't look like they'd fit. June 13, 200520 yr comment_56836 There is quite a long thread on this subject somewhere on the forum, but not sure if it's in the public section (may be in Trade Section). All I'd like to add is that we took one such system over & it kept on false alarming. It was only just over a year old & we eventually got it sorted (with a bit of help from a very nice forum member) by fitting capacitors at the end of the line. It was a known problem with the manufactorer, but they didn't advertise it too much. Some of these id biscuits work ok with different panels too. Not sure what the later type are like though, they may be better now, but we choose to steer clear of them.
