Just checking a few questions raised by others, and I just feel the need to check the following.

We are having 2 9751 panels upgraded to include:

1) ability to attach proximity readers

2) 6 key fobs

3) Digital modem communicator

This will then enable us to purchase the 'redcare' monitoring service.

Total cost for the upgrade is £550 + vat (monitoring is extra).

Please can someone assure me that we are not being ripped off?

Are the readers being fitted or is this just a software upgrade?

Why are you having them upgraded?

A lot depends on whether there is any additional works involved that are not listed, the price does seem a little on the high side, but without all the facts its hard to tell.

You give the impression that you do not believe what your installer is telling you, have you considered posting your area and getting a quote from one of the installers on these forums.

Its not as simple as saying it sound s expensive or not, without seeing what is to be done, it is very difficult to give an opinion.

If your not sure get another quote or two, dont get too many you will only confuse the issue.
