A red light comes on when the alarm has been set, normal setting chime is replaced by constant beeping. I looked in the user guide but this shows that an engineer is required to service the system.

The system is about 1 year old.

We do not know who fitted the system as we have only moved in a few months ago.

Is there a way to reset system , I have the engineers code.

Hi m8

Which Red light?

Most likely the Zone that is Not properly Secure

Regards

Mark

thank Mark,

the red light which is on is zone 1 - we only have 1 zone.

I have secured all room were sensors are located and fault still occurs.

Any other tips?

1 zone and several sensors indicate immediate need for servicing by proper alarm engineer!

Definitely. Sounds like it's a complete lash up. I would call out a proper engineer rather than the one that fitted it originally as it doesn't sound like it's been right from day one.

(This of course assumes that there are actually several detectors and only one zone in use and it's not an error on your part re: the description).

It could be a fault anywhere in the wiring, or a faulty detector. As it's all under one zone then narrrowing it down is practically impossible from here. A service visit is recommended.
