antinode
I've been asked to install a couple of systems for some relatives, and I want a decent, preferebly LCD display, panel that's not too expensive, and I want to use the same panel for both jobs, so no Galaxys Is the LCD any good? I'm not expecting prgrammable text banners or anything, but if it makes programming easier, all the better. Are they reliable too? I can't think of many LCD panels that are well priced, apart from the Pyronix ones. Ta! Paul P
We use the eurosec for all small bells only systems no complaints except it would be nice to have a metal end station Trade Member Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5453-eurosec-cp8l/#findComment-44577 Share on other sites
ARJ
We use the eurosec for all small bells only systems no complaints except it would be nice to have a metal end station 44577[/snapback] It's a nice system, very user friendly and the typical houswife likes the neat little keypad, - especialy when their name appears on the keypad whenever you set it. Personally, I thought the build quality wasn't upto some other manufacturers. We were returning one at installation out of every dozen or so. We had terminal blocks coming off the panel and more commonly the panel was fine but the power LED on the end station wasn't illuminating. We stopped using them when customers started talking about future comms as it only had one prog output. They've since brought out a specific CP8L digi-for it that taps into the keypad Bus which we've used and it works ok. There is an upgraded version due out in a couple of weeks with full 8ch on-board digi, prox facility and I beleive a steel case. (Approx twice the price of the original) - Probably to compete with the Scan 9751. ARJ A nearly retired previous installer ! Mister_Dave
I agree with the above. What passives sounders etc were you going to use on these installs ? antinode
Thanks for your comments. To be honest, I'd forgotten about the Excell. I'll have a look at that too. As for other stuff, I'm planning on using Texecom Prestige Quad PIRs, a couple of Impaq + shock sensors and Odyssey 3 sounders (the dual piezo ones) and maybe a CQR internal sounder depending on how loud the panel alarm tone is. CompostCORNER
Used Gardiner stuff for years and years and naturally moved onto the Eurosec to replace our bottom end jobs we would otherwise install G350+ & G370's. They are a nice little panel but the remote keypads have to rate as one of the ugliest of any control panel. Shame really.
