AJ600N - constant strobe

Featured Replies

Managed to disrupt the mains supply to the control box which set the alarm off. Restored supply and entered code to stop the noise. Pressed 'RESET' and the alarm went off again, meanwhile outside strobe light was flashing - and still is, 5 days later! Found the manual and done the system reset thing, ie cutting mains and battery power and shorting the NVM pins, succeeded only in resetting the user code but not restoring factory settings.

Please can somebody tell me how to get it out of alarming mode and back to it's normal, quiet, non-flashing unless burglars are in the house type mode.

Thanks, Rach

What is showing on the panel after you put the code in , and before you press RESET?.Is it TAMPER or 24HR?, if so there is still a fault on the system , and it requires clearing.

:)

24hr is a tamper fault , either the panel lid is not on properly , a detector lid is off , the bell box lid/screw.Quite hard to find if you dont know what you are looking for.So go back and refit anything you have touched , recheck it seats properly, failing that , call out an engineer (who will probably replace the whole lot).

Best regards.

:)
