I have fitted a few smokes. ! sugestion is to set the activation timer to the shortest setting for your test. As i found the room got full real quick and when you cant see you cant "unplug" the damn thing.

Hi fitted loads of these units,make sure you position the cut off detector in the right place.

Be careful though,smokesensor does not cut off unit on newer models,it just restarts it when the smoke starts to clear.

You have to set the timer to a value appropriate for the room size.
