I wish to replace the keypad on my Scanatronic 9800. If I enter the engineer code can i then simply swap the keypads over or do i need to power down the system?

You need to enter "0" then engineer code. The panel will beep until the end-station is opened. Then you can swap the keypads over. You can do it live if you really want to - just be careful not to short any of the wires. And don't forget to set the dip switches to match the RKP you are replacing.

i have done it live with out the eng code it can be done its just how good are you
