By the way, I've got a bit of free software on my laptop called Dosbox that allows me to run all my old dos programs, you can control the run speed as well incase they're going a bit too fast.

oh right... reason i am asking about dos is because i need to run consys software to take a download from a minerva fire panel... not doing any commissioning or out but need to take the download because my pc will then act as a printer to view some analouge values of devices to find a fault and arent sure if it wil run in xp dos
