"low battery" display

Featured Replies

Hi,

Our alarm has been displaying "Low battery" for a week so I figure the battery needs replacing. Can I do this myself or should I get the alarm company to do it (they haven't been very helpful in the past and seem to charge a fortune for even coming out!)? Do I have to be able to put the system in engineer mode in order to change the battery?

If feasible, where can I get the battery?

cheers,

BOF

If your system is regularly serviced and maintained then the battery should be changed as a matter of course.

It can be changed by the user without the engioneer code but I would always recommend that the system be serviced at the same time, and also annually thereafter. It shouldn't be costing a fortune for a service contract, if you post a location on here there may be someone able to help.
