November 30, 200421 yr comment_33258 Greetings from Atlanta Georgia, I am developing an electrical appliance which must include photoelectronic smoke detection. After 5 prototypes, I and my 2 contract engineers are beginning to understand the intricacies of scattered light detection. However, our chamber performs poorly compared to the chambers we see in commercial products. That's why I'm here. I want to speed our development path. Are any of you designers able to point me to a commercially available design for a smoke chamber? I know this is just a shot in the dark, but what I'm hoping is that you're aware of a detector manufacturer or the asset-holder of a defunct company who may be willing to sell a license for their chamber design. Or perhaps you know of an experienced chamber designer who is willing and capable (without legal encumberance) of providing a proved chamber design. Thanks for any guidance.
