November 12, 200421 yr comment_31177 Hello. I am new to this forum and must admit a little wary about putting in a topic!!! : I am a sparkie who needs a bit of advice from the profesionals! I have been given a texecom premier 24 control panel, exodus oh4w and mirage dualtech PIR's. I also managed to come by a nice satin flush RKp. (Don't tell my boss though!! ) I have never had anything to do with intruder alarms so am a bit unsure on the best way of connecting these all up. The instruction manual is obviously a guide but could do with a bit of info from you guys. Does the tamper go in a loop from each pir/detector or are they connected seperately in fact do you need to connect this or can it be looped out, do they all need their own feed the fact that it says single pole 2 wire is that literaly all it is??. I could realy do with a wiring diagram as this would make life a lot easier. I didn't intend this to be a novel just got carried away. Thanks for your help in advance I know you won't let me down! November 12, 200421 yr comment_31178 Hello! Best thing to do really is to mount all the devices and get an approved alarm company in to commission and take over. Why? Two reasons; 1. Alarm company will take responsibility for all call outs, ensuring you do not have the hassle and have the peice of mind your system conforms to BS4737. 2. Once you have entered into a maintenance agreement they can issue you with a certificate of conformity. You should be able to get a discount on your house insurance once this is in place. You may also be able to get connected to a central station and get police response. Hope this helps, post your location and im sure someone will be able to help you out. November 13, 200421 yr comment_31284 No problems installing yourself, just let someone else certify it and service it. November 17, 200421 yr comment_31680 You reckon installing all accessories and cable, then letting someone else connect is the answer then?! If thats the case do you know anyone local to me to contact as it would be nice to have someone who is recommended rather than look through the yellow pages!!! I wouldn't mind though if someone wants to give me the answer to my questions so I can connect it all and then call in the pro's to give it a ticket! Thanks for the advice guys!
