Scantronics 9427 Power LED flashing (main 9448+ control panel shows solid green however)

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Further to a previous post I managed to solve my alarm-related problems and reconfigure the system... however the Scantronics 9427 remote keypad keeps showing a green flashing Power LED. Rather baffling since the main 9448+ control panel shows solid green and everything is working perfectly??

However, when I put the alarm in Engineer/Programming Mode, then the Power LED does go solid green.

Any ideas what might cause this behaviour?

Many thanks in advance for your feedback.

It's telling you to install a 9651...

The 9448 really is very old hat. With the 9651 you'll get a text LCD display, be able to use fobs, but it's just as easy to use.

Also the terminology and tones are the same so a nice bit of familiarity... All for the price of McDonalds for four...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Hi 'Data'

OK then... that sounds like a plan indeed. An LCD screen would definitely help and fobs are definitely a nice to have feature :-)

And I guess I would be able to keep the existing cabling?

Many thanks

Cool... that would be a nice little project and would get my hard-wired alarm in the 21st Century... thanks for the tip :-)

(about £** is really not expensive indeed)

Not for a genuinely quality product...
