October 18, 200421 yr comment_27927 I have an Optima XM installed for the past 15 years with not much bother or problems until now....It has four zones and zone 1 is the escape zone, but when I set the alarm for me to leave the house, zone 2 flashes, but not consistently, (as though there was someone in that zone) and does not set the alarm properly, consequently arming the alarm....any ideas, anybody? October 18, 200421 yr comment_27930 It may be picking you up If you have a sensor in your hallway/exit route, it will probably be wired to zone 2. Have you tried just setting the alarm as normal or are you causing the alarm to activate by not getting out in time? If you don't know......ask. October 18, 200421 yr comment_28027 B) A faulty battery and a burnt out charging resistor may also be in the running here. I would strongly recommend that you get someone in to check it over properly. What area do you live in maybe one of us can help you!
