Guest Gazzerdaman
Hi, I'm helping a mate who recently had both his car vandalised on his driveway. We need a CCTV system that will work ok in both Light and Dark. And that can record 24 hrs a day, but only actual movement. The picture needs to be reasonable qualiuty - actually able to identify people etc. What sort of equipment would you recommend for this. Installation is not a problem its just what equipment to specify Thanks in advance Gary Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/3902-cctv/ Share on other sites
ian.cant
Your asking a bit much of a single camera Gaz, the rest of it is no problem depending on other factors such as light levels etc. Hi, I'm helping a mate who recently had both his car vandalised on his driveway. We need a CCTV system that will work ok in both Light and Dark.Best camera for day night operation at a reasonable price would be SDN-520PSAMSUNG HIGH RES EXVIEW DAY & NIGHT CAMERA WITH REMOVEABLE MECHANICAL CUT FILTER FOR CRISP COLOUR IMAGES DURING THE DAY AND B&W IMAGES AT NIGHT And that can record 24 hrs a day, but only actual movement. The picture needs to be reasonable qualiuty - actually able to identify people etc. For this bit you need a decent quality DVR which will have motion detection, however to be able to identify people, techinically speaking you need a a lens that shows quite a narrow picture which will be very difficult to achieve and watch the whole of the area also. Maybe you need to consider 2 cameras but in my opinion your going to have to position the cameras very specifically to achieve your objectives. What sort of equipment would you recommend for this. Installation is not a problem its just what equipment to specify I think i have answered this already! Where would be the best place to buy the bits aswell Thanks Gary Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/3902-cctv/#findComment-27288 Share on other sites

Our system will work with most CCTV cameras including infra-red ones, you could even use an infra red flood light for extra visability. Take a look at our website - http://www.streetcameras.com If you interested drop me a mail at martin@streetcameras.com Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/3902-cctv/#findComment-27574 Share on other sites
