Busted Backlight !

Featured Replies

I have an ipaq which, although a couple of years old, is a good workhorse and I have come to rely on. It has stopped backlighting itself and won't even backlight when put on permanent backlight.

Any ideas how to fix it or get it fixed.

I have done all types of restart etc.:no::no:

That depends on how confident you are with opening the back up and having a look to see if the Back light connections have come away from the PCB.

I have never opend up one of these babys so can not advice but thats what I would do.

Sounds like a hardware issue rather than software. I've never broken a PDA so don't know who's any good at reparing them, that's what you need anyway, a PDA repairer!

sound like another market to go into

Like all good alarm men, the first thing i did was have the back off !!!!!!!! :D

But alas, it wasn't as obvious where the lights or connection were......

You know what it's like when you tell the wife that you are going to service the car, trundle out with a kit of tools, lift the bonnet ..................

................. scream internally at the lack of space............... put the bonnet down!........... go look in the boot, just in case you have the wrong end......... then go and find a mechanic. :D:D Well I think I need one of those!!
