There's a couple of presentations about hacking Z-wave/Zigbee coming up at Defcon, so it's of note that Visonic looked at Zigbee as an option for alarms.

 

Note that it tells you there system uses 4 hopping frequencies at 64hops/s in the 868MHz band, which although technically is FHSS, is a long way from adding any security or noise immunity.
