Thanks for the earlier information on my problem.

I will get the alarm serviced and a new battery fitted as the tamper alam light is conctantly flashing. Until I can get this done are there any problems with putting the alarm on apart form th internal alarm ringing. If there aren't any does the internal alarm turn off after a certain amount of time?
