Hi, I have an accenta G3 mini and i seem to be getting a random beep from the controlbox every 2-3 mins. in the morning from about 0700-0930ish is this the service warning beep, on control pad there seem to no tamper signs or flashing lights anywhere. just the power & day light. If this is the service alarm can i reset it as at the moment i have absoloutly no money to service this alarm (already in house when moved in) PS have normal code to disable & enable alarm not to sure if I have engineer code, although have downloaded manual hopefully it is still on default. Sorry for the long message, I am desperate to resolve this matter

any help gratefully recieved

If you have to the eng. code you can disable the service timer. never heard it on the accenta, but what you describe also sounds like a smoke alarm with a low battery?! you know, like the ones people take out their old house and threw in a box in the cupboard!!

If you don't know......ask.

Accentas do have a programmable service timer. What happens with it though is when it's getting close to it's time, it puts a flashing tamper lamp on the RKP. Coincidentally, I had one last week on call duty and the customer thought the alarm was in fault. As those who know about the Accenta will tell you, a real tamper on the system locks the keypads so they seem unresponsive.

Ditto, NEVER had an alarm beep like this!

Exception, sterling 10 when its had a power fail, makes a grumpy grunt sound... Press the function key!

Hi, thanks for all your quick replys, however I have checked firealarms and they seem to be powered by the mains, or is their a another battery inside each one somewhere, they are difficult to get too as i have an old house with high ceilings, i can just make out a small message about "nine volt batteries" does this sound right???

Some mains powered smokes have a 9V battery back up and they will beep intermittently if the battery runs low. Failing that, it may be an old battery smoke that has been taken down a while ago and left in a box?

If you don't know......ask.
