Guest pleriche
I want something very simple before going on hol in a couple of weeks. A dummy bellbox with a flashing LEDs inside might do. But I've already got a simple PIR alarm in the hall (Maplin KK72) which has sockets on the side for external siren and power. Could I wire this to a real bellbox such as Lynteck Midas or Vortex? The siren socket is normally closed and goes o/c on alarm. Or when the battery dies, so I'd have to feed it power from the bellbox battery. One side of the siren socket is common with the ext power -ve, the other side of the ext siren has to be +ve. Can it be done without additional electronics? Guest Adrian
B) Well no idea if you can connect a bell box to your pir, But i think maplins do sell a battery operated led that blinks, just mount that into any dummy bell box you may need to drill a 5.5 mm whole. hope it helps Adrian B)
