Did the bell box go off when the power was off?

If so then its likely your battery has gone, go buy a new battery.

Power down the system, install new battery (this will restore battery power to system) then put cover back on and restore mains.

If you are lucky the programming wont be lost, otherwise you will need an engineer to come re-program the system.
