G2 Remote Access

Featured Replies

Why is it that things always go wrong you're in miles from home?!?

We've been doing Remote Servicing of Galaxy G3's, Dimensions and G2's using the 'Frontshell' program for about the last year.

All has been running smoothly until just recently. The last 3 G2 panels I have installed just will not connect to the Comm's Server program.

The panels will normally connect for for the first time, identify themselves and send there current settings over as a 'virgin site'. However, these last 3 panels will call the PC, the modem will answer, (comm's Server shows 'Incoming Call') and the process 'Hangs' until one party ententually gives up.

I would have said this was due Line noise, but the lines test ok AND the panels are sending SMS or contacting ARC using SIA, so that seems to rule that out!

Anyone else had the same problem, any bright ideas??? Would have said it was something environmental but 3 TIMES in a row?!?

Sincerly Loosing the plot in Bournemouth.

What Version RSS do you have? DO the version numbers match the RSS account? Tbh its a while since i've fitted a Gal, is there any new frimware versions out?
