sixwheeledbeast
How do I completely power-down the system? My assumption is that I put the system into "programming mode", or even "engineer mode", and then simply turn off the mains (I have a switched spur for this so is easy and safe). Is the above correct? Also, what happens when I then turn the mains back on again? The panel should have a standby battery inside. If you switch the mains off and the panel is dead the system needs a service. Engineering mode will not stop you blowing a fuse if the system is still powered up. Also really the alarm shouldn't have a switched spur, it should be un-indicated and un-swithced with a 3A fuse. The user code can be entered to silence the system on power up.
