We have been involved for a couple of years in building / upgrading an event cctv system for a client. I have the task of upgrading the cameras and kit for this years (much larger) event.

Usually, the client puts the cameras up on scaff poles, with some clamps we supplied (half couplers). All well and good, but they have now asked for some posts to mount them on.

Heights need to vary between 3m and 6m.

I assisted in the set up of their first event last year, and they simply drove a 1m scaff pole into the ground, and then coupled it with a 4m high pole, with camera clamped on top.

They need a system which is easily transported, and lightweight. And as usual, cost is paramount !.

All I can think of is aluminium scaffold pole (lightweight), in 2m lengths (easy to transport) and couplers to join them to the required length.

Normal scaff I can get from anywhere, but Aluminium scaffold seems to be rare - I can only find it online in stage supliers - and they want
