Galaxy 2-20

Featured Replies

I have installed a galaxy 2-20 with an RF portal on the bus.

In line with what I think is good practise I have wired a 1k resistor across the unused zones in the panel and designated them as spare.

I am now wanting to use a wireless PIR operating via the RF portal

Qu. Do I have to allocate one of the onboard Zones ,make it an RF zone and remove the 1k link to gain recognition by the RF portal?

Also I haven't yet connected the tel line and am getting a tel line fail error message which I wont be able to clear until the connection is made later this week.

Qu. I want to continue programming the keypad etc would this line fail message prevent me from backing out of engineer mode? as despite what I try I keep being returned to engineer mode after trying to exit using the correct procedure.

Replies appreciated

That'll work fine.

Menu 56 > 10 is line fail - switch to [0] 'no' and then it won't look for the telephone line when it isn't installed.
