last night, our town was in the news for the right reasons. the green and whites of Blyth Spartans beat bournemouth afc in their fa cup reply......it was tremendous....bring on yeah boys from Blackburn (who)....'Feel the spirit'.... and all on tv..who said, football is only a game...ho ho ho. have a merry christmas everybody....

Its always nice when your local team gets through to the next round of a cup competition, even better if they've taken on "bigger" opponents and won, I mean take the Scottish Cup and "Queen of the South" last year they managed to get all the way to the final, they lost in the final but they provided a good few shooks along the way...

Come on the Spartans..
