Gardtec 595 Control Panel

Featured Replies

Hi

I havea gardtec 595 control panel that I quick part set at night before going to bed and it makes a buzz noise- I then get up early and unset it before leaving for work - the control panel is on the other side of the wall from my sons bedroom and the chirping/note that it plays to tell me it is unset wakes him up every day at 5am! Can this chime noise be turned off so it is silent when i turn off the alarm?

Hope you can help!!

Alan

The volume can be turned down from engineer mode, but unless you have the code, there is'nt a great deal you can do.

get your service company to sort it at the next annual service.

If you don't get it serviced annually I'd strongly advise it.

For a short term fix try blu-tac, duct tape or bubble gum....no seriously it muffles it.

If you prefer i can suggest a local company to service and sort it for a semsible cost.

I assume the engineer code isn't the code I use to set/unset? Can I try that without harming the system?

Yes engineering code is completly different to the code you use to set/unset the system. Trying it won't let you into the required menu to change the volume, I'd temporarly muffle it as Chorlton suggested and also get a company to come out and check it over..
