Hi Again...

Featured Replies

Hi again everybody

i set up my account early this year but havent been on for a while.

at the time i was looking for a job in security systems, well actually i still am.

i took the advice of one member to get myself a job as an electricians mate to gain a bit of experience cabling etc, well i did just that and have been doing it for 6 months, im still enjoying it a lot but feel i now want to move onto security systems...

hoping to get a bit more info from the site and hopefully a break into the security industry

thanks guys

i have contacted a lot of companies direct, hundreds in fact but everyone wants experience, people got to start somewhere i say...

In the present economic climate you will struggle in my opinion.

New builds are stopping, a large electrical contractor just went into liquidisation last Friday and customers are declining servicing. Even commercial work is facing high running costs, borrowing problems (banking crisis) and a general downturn.

I don't mean to be all doom & gloom but realistically who needs a trainee right now when qualified and experienced engineers and companies are loosing work?

C.
