Hi everybody,

I was looking for some informations on the Optima XM6 in the Web then I saw the light was on so there I am. I am not use to these kind of forum, but I beleive someone may have the answer to my problem.

We moved in this house just over 2 years ago. I never used the security system since we have a dog and also we rarely go away for long period.

The alarm system seems to be connected on a lighting circuit. When swiching on the light, the light went out as well as the light on the security box.

It happened before and I changed the light bulb put the tripped fuse back in position and everything was back to normal. This time nothing happen and I do not have light either.

Is there a fuse in this box, I do not have any manual for it so I do not know anything about it. And we never used this alarm since we are there.

If anyone would have a clue on this wee problem, I would welcome any help. :bruce_h4h:

Thanks

Kind regards

JT

Is there a fused spur next/near to the control panel? If so, take spur fuse out and see if you can reset the lighting mcb. If you cant, problem with your lights. If you can, problem with your alarm.

Thank you for the tip

I have tried this already: The lighting and the alarm are on the same fuse. I did reset the lighting mcb, Still no light and no power to the alarm box. I am puzzled ....

is there another switch in the fuse board with RCD on it? and is that on?
