Alarm Goes Off When Fusebox Switched Off

Help

I bought my house three years ago and never realised that the Accenta alarm I had needed to be serviced. Obviously the previous owners left the code, but that was it. I have never had a problem with the alarm, and it certainly caused no problems when there was a power cut.

However, last week I attempted to switched off the mains in order to alter a plug socket. As soon as the mains were switched off the alarm sounded - thankfully it stopped -but only once mains were back on AND code entered.

Any ideas?

I tried to contact a company in Norwich but they said only the people who installed it would be able to do any repairs/service etc. Is this true?

Any ideas welcome as I have none

cheers

Change the back up battery in the control panel & what you were told ref servicing is poo!

If you don't feel up to touching it (& to be honest it's well over due a service anyway) try contacting a local company to service it, change the battey and provide 24/7 365 emergency support.

we have a directory listing companies in your area here - http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/comm...p?showforum=237

Thank you very much. I will try the companies tomorrow morning. What i was told seemed strange, but just didn't know where to go.

Really grateful
