would be great if someone could advise if it works with 490x panel and eurosec panels as it only states 595/840/872 panels on the site are compatible.

G490 is the metal version of the CPX (same pcb) so yes it will.

make sure the detectors match the receiver model version, as they changed the frequency used and earlier panels need a radio interface module.
