I understand that the 1/3" CCD chip is a popular size than 1/4" in terms of performance (gathering light), but why do we still see 1/4" chips used in high end cameras? I've got a Vista 1/4" and a Baxall 1/2", and I can't tell the difference at all, infact, I think the Vista outperforms the Baxall with the same setup without any imaging enhancements.
